There is some realistic element on the game, right up until you play the first campaign and German tanks cant take down Polish calvary. But all in all the game has potential to be epic

If I laid some $ down for it I might complain about the rough edges -- but the original was none too smooth either...
Kudos to Nicu Pavel for picking up where PG2 was left. The controls take a little getting used too and there r some bugs: Panzervagen doesnt work., And u cant finish the Russian campaign because the supply center count is incorrect in Operation Typhoon Cancelled. Otherwise this is easily a 5-star game! 4 a one man show, and FREE, Mr. Pavel Rocks!!!
Love it!! Lots of scenarios. Some scenarios have serious flaws, however. Operation Luttich does not work. Soviet units dont appear on some. You have to purchase them using your prestige points. Please fix that.
This game is awesome, not the best, but awesome. Great military strategies needed to win the battles, and that is what I was looking for when I got it. Good job!
Just would be nice for a mode for unlimited turns not timed. Awesome though
I can tell a tremendous amount of work was put into your project, especially with the addition so SO many historically accurate machines, troop types. Very well done. I do SO wish there were some additional information on how to play, I.e, Hot Keys? Automatic next unit in turn to move? How to cancel a move and choose a different action? Forgive me if this has already been addressed... I just cant seemed locate it on the website OR in-game. They are a must for me. Until then, I respect and applaud your efforts in this monumental task! Thank you!
Make no mistake, this is a robust TBS WW2 game, sporting a massive plethora of units and scenarios spanning across multiple theaters. It has continuous campaigns that see your face through a series of historical scenarios. The closest competitor to it on the platform is the Battle Academy 1/2, priced at 20$ base for a simplified variation on this theme. You get Open Panzer for free. Yes, bloody free. I am mystified by this, but in a good way. If you are into moderately deep historical TBS - get this game now. Be warned, though, tutorial does not teach everything there is to know about the mechanics, and the game is HARD, really, really hard (or at least, my German/Polish campaign was). Be prepared to lose early on.
I was stoked to come across this gem, thank you for bringing back this blast from the past. Disregard most of the negative comments, if you played panzer general 2 on pc youll have a warm comfort feeling with this game. The learning curve for those not privy to the original is stark, but after youve gotten used to the controls its a great game especially for the rock bottom price of free! A few tweaks with some of the buttons, namely the end turn button would greatly improve overall satisfaction with the game.
Please make this game for iPad mini!!! Ive tried to download it on my iPad but it would not download, please update
The originals were great I had them all still do in fact even if they wont run on my PC anymore. Now its back and better yet this time it is FREE!
Not compatible with iPod 4.
The game is well built and shows the hard work out into its historical accuracy with unit detail and make up. But the user interface could be better. Un-selecting units is difficult at times and the battle calculator needs some serious work examples of such are German tanks vs. polish cavalry in the first mission and then destroyers not being able to destroy French subs in the big red 1 mission. Other then that keep up the good work.
Movement speed is really slow! It takes forever to send troops from one place to another on the map
love it but needs more updates for more quality
Thanks a lot for your hard work!
I COMPLETELY LOVE THIS GAME, But can you please make it to where both sides on EVERY scenario can spawn units?! Thats all i ask!
